Waste Management Program
On 21st February 2019, Shell Lubricants Indonesia donate total IDR 50 mio for Rancage to be utilized for training and women community development program included in integrated waste management project 'Desa BERSEMI' (Bersih, Sehat dan Mandiri) in around Shell LOBP, Marunda.
The donation is part of "Shell untuk Indonesia" campaign that is being included in Business Plan Cascade 2019 and Shell Distributor Conference 2019 event held on 20th - 21st February 2019 in Shangrila Hotel, Jakarta.
During the event, Shell Lubricants encouraged all employees and distributors to purchase Rancage products that were being sold in a dedicated booth. The products were made from plastic waste and used newspaper, and were managed to take guests interests. Total purchase value was IDR 10 mio, and then be multiplied by five to be donated to Desa BERSEMI.
The donation was handed over by GM Lubricants, Ms Dian Andyasuri and VP Commercial Lubricants APME, Mr Nick Chong, to Ms Dini as the representative of Salam Rancage and Ms Sri Endah as the representative of Shell Indonesia External Relation team who responsible for Desa BERSEMI community development. This program by Shell Indonesia has been providing positive impact for the development of environment, social and economy in Indonesia,
Salam Rancage is a small enterprise work to empower women community to create various products from plastic and paper waste, and sell it locally and internationally. Through their activity, Rancage has managed to improve life quality of women in their community by providing new skill and additional income.
Top 50 BIWS Donation
On 23rd January 2019, Shell invited 50 best Branded Independent Workshop Owners (BIWS) from all around Indonesia to a gathering event titled “PESTA BIWS”
During the main event held in Holiday Inn Hotel, Kemayoran, Shell also engaged BIWS owners in a program called “Point Donation”, where part of revenue from product purchase that night will be donated to victims of natural disasters in Banten.
“Point Donation” program is part of “Shell untuk Indonesia” campaign, which is a commitment from Shell Indonesia to always bring positive impacts to Indonesian society through product development, collaboration project, charity program and people development. Shell actively involves its business partners in the campaign to create bigger impact for Indonesia.
At the end of the event, Shell and BIWS owners donated more than IDR 165 million for Banten and Lampung Tsunami Survivors through “Habitat for Humanity Indonesia” organization. The donation will be distributed in form of transitional shelter, clean water facilities and individual toilets.
In the future, Shell look forward to be able to create more significant impact through “Shell untuk Indonesia” campaign.
Free Engine Check
During the span of two months, January to February 2019, Shell Rimula conducted “Rehat Bareng Rimula” (Rest with Rimula) event roadshow in various traditional market, warehouse complex, and truck stops in Jakarta, Tangerang, Semarang, Bandung, Surabaya and Medan. The events objective was to introduce the new Shell Rimula LD4 Extra 15W40 product launched on September 2018. This product is specially formulated for pick up and light duty truck.
One of the event highlights was the free engine check service for pick up and truck drivers who bought Shell Rimula LD4 Extra during the event. The mechanic on-duty will check the vehicle lubricants, brake system, accumulator, tire pressure and provide oil change service when requested. During the implementation in six cities, a total of 300 drivers have enjoyed this service.
This activation was also part of “Shell for Indonesia” campaign commitment to always provide positive impact to Indonesian society, including the “Unseen Heroes”, or people who have important role in the society, but most of the times are overlooked. In the future, Shell will always strive to support Indonesia through its products, services, and activities which can benefit the society.
