Jakarta: The Indonesian National Waste Care Day (HPSN) which falls every 21st of February is a reminder that the waste issue should be a main concern to all parties and involve all components in the society in its management. Today, the urgency of waste management has become a strategic issue to global concern. Data of Environment and Forestry Ministry (KLHK) revealed the amount of national waste reaching around 67.8 million tons in 2020. The figure will continue to increase as the population grows and lifestyles become more complex and practical. By 2050, the composition of plastic waste is expected to double to 35% of total waste.
