Meet the manager
Nischal Sancho, Product and Channel Optimisation Manager based in South Africa, says a job in Supply at Shell is one that relies on cooperation. “There is a great deal of cross-functional collaboration required,” he says. “It ranges from how we work with our marketing colleagues to better understand the customer and ensure accurate demand forecasts, right through to supply planning and operating the refinery through the make-blend-buy decisions in collaboration with manufacturing.”
Such a connected and cross-functional environment has plenty of advantages, he says. “The benefits include working alongside some of the brightest talent, and being able to leverage global best practice from the Excellence teams and the various networks.”
But this thrilling culture of cooperation would mean little were it not for the inclusive and encouraging environment at Shell.
Nischal explains: “It’s the people that make Shell an attractive place to work, complimented by the constant focus on people development.”
